smart went crazy

she’s a rainbow

I’ve always thought these hats were goofy. I’m partial to the white tuxedo at graduation.

good people

This headless child is part of an exhibit at the art museum. It’s super creepy.

spring

This is an old photo but it’s of my favorite type of tree which is blossoming currently.

obligatory sunset shots

i’m staying on the beach so naturally i had to take some beach sunset photos.

let’s swim to the moon

what could be better than a full moon at the beach?

graveyard by the sea

On spring break here in Sanibel and went for a bike ride. There is this nice little chapel called “the chapel by the sea” and it also has a graveyard. It’s weird to have a graveyard about 70 yards from the ocean and with palm trees.

abandoned

I had to walk to Walgreens today and on the way I passed this abandoned store. I wanted to take photos of the old incinerator in the back for a while so I finally did. This first shot is the dock for the trucks. I guess it just filled up with the water and it smells worse than it looks. The next two are of the incinerator door and the back entrance to the store.

white blank page

So I got two pictures here from the dorm room. Sorry I haven’t posted lately things have been crazy with tests and that whole school thing. The first is the light above my sink. I’ve always liked mysterious writing even if it is just scribbly lines. The second one is the shadow of a coat hanger. Sorry nothing super exciting this time around.

You ever notice…

Being a college student I feel obligated to eat Easy Mac and I always notice how after microwaving most of the noodles are lined up in the same direction. I just always thought that was interesting. It’s very cold outside and the first testing cycle is coming.

In Accordance With The Prophecy…

Snow again, not much though. I went to go take a photo or two after 2-D design today. I was planning on taking some photos in the old front room of Newman. It’s this huge tower with stained glass on both sides all the way up but it was dark when I got there. I’ll try again soon. I did find right behind my dorm someone left their hat on their bike. It’s one of those felt hats and it collected the snow pretty well. It reminds of stars the way they kind of sparkle.

Artwork

So I am taking 2-D design this semester and we are drawing other works. This one is by Richard Avedon. The original can be seen here. This is the one I did that I’m pretty fond of because I’m horrible at drawing figures and I seemed to pull this off.

Slush

Snow fall today. Just enough to be slick but not enough to be really pretty. I still liked it and took a walk after classes in it to clear my head. I went for the walk on the trail by my dorm. I had this one spot about 1.5 mile down the trail in mind but there was about of 6 inches of water in the tunnel under the highway in my way. The first shot was in that tunnel. I liked the rust orange under the water. The second one is of this big pipe that ran across the creek. It had a light steam coming off of it and no snow accumulated on it. The last one is just some manhole on the side of the trail that seemed very out of place.
